Unless I'm missing soemthing very subtle, I think that your example is legal Common Lisp. I don't think the current manual actually forces you to compile that Defsetf, but whether or not it is compiled, the dumper has no business losing track of the EQ-ness of the symbols, whether or not they are interned anywhere. -- Scott
