We have this excellent predicate EQL that I thought was invented for just this purpose. DEFCONSTANT should be EQL-preserving. Anyone who counts on numbers being EQ is likely to lose when implementations have different thresholds of bignum-ness, or hacks like INUMs, anyway. -Dave
